Got the error: JFolder::create: Could not create directory

Joomla 1.5.3 in Legacy Mode. It will not publish the Site Configuration.

Is your base directory writeable?

Umm, actually no. The folder that contains all of those folders must be writable. The Highslide Configuration component is trying to create an hsconfig directory at the same level as the images/ directory, for example.

As a workaround, you might try creating these folders manually. You would need to create:

hsconfig
hsconfig/css
hsconfig/js

Maybe that will get you going.

Did you create the folders manually or make the base directory writeable?
